She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from India and a certification in Human Resource Management from the University of Ottawa. Her academic background reflects a blend of global perspective and professional rigor.

Mrs. Kothiyal has built a successful career at TD Bank, where she currently serves in a managerial role. Her dedication and performance have been recognized with the prestigious Legends Award, a testament to her excellence and leadership.

With a passion for fostering connection, inclusion, and progress,

UCAC is honored to welcome Mrs. Kapur for her second term (2025–2028) as a Director on the Board. Since arriving in Canada in 2018, Mrs. Kapur has been a dedicated member of our organization, finding a meaningful connection to her cultural heritage through UCAC’s mission and community.

During her previous term, Mrs. Kapur actively supported UCAC’s initiatives and events, participating in cultural programs alongside her family to help showcase the rich traditions of Uttarakhand. Her contributions extended beyond performance, including fundraising efforts, corporate outreach, and administrative support—all aimed at strengthening community engagement and organizational growth.

Mrs. Kapur holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She is also a certified Ashtanga Yoga Teacher from Om Yoga Shala, Goa. Professionally, she operates a licensed home daycare in Oshawa, where she resides with her husband and two children.

Her continued commitment to UCAC is driven by a deep sense of gratitude and purpose. With integrity, passion, and the unwavering support of her family and well-wishers, Mrs. Kapur remains devoted to serving the Uttarakhand community in Canada.

UCAC is proud to formally introduce Mrs. Seema Prashar, a dynamic cultural ambassador and valued contributor to our organization. Born and raised in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, Mrs. Prashar proudly traces her roots to the scenic Chamoli Garhwal region.

With over 15 years of experience as an emcee (Master of Ceremonies), she has hosted a wide range of events—from academic and cultural programs to corporate functions and prestigious gatherings at Rajbhavan, Uttarakhand. Her magnetic stage presence, professionalism, and warmth have earned her widespread recognition and respect.

Mrs. Prashar’s recent role as the Emcee for UCAC events highlights her deep commitment to preserving and promoting Uttarakhand’s cultural identity in Canada. She has played a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive and vibrant community, particularly among the Indian diaspora, and continues to inspire youth to stay connected with their heritage.

Professionally, Mrs. Prashar is associated with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where she serves as a Trainer and Coach. Her leadership, communication skills, and cultural sensitivity make her an asset in both her professional and community roles.

UCAC is proud to introduce Mrs. Neerja Joshi, a distinguished Life Sciences educator and accomplished classical and folk dance artist. Born and raised in New Delhi, Mrs. Joshi brings over two decades of experience in the performing arts, with formal training in Kathak, Ghoomar, Garba, and Bihu. She has graced esteemed stages across India and Canada, including appearances on Doordarshan’s Teacher Education programs.

Now residing in Canada, Mrs. Joshi continues to nurture her passion for Indian dance through her school, Dancebeeatz, where she trains students in both classical and folk traditions. Her dedication to cultural education and artistic excellence has made her a respected figure in the community.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Mrs. Joshi manages a dental office, exemplifying her dynamic and multifaceted career. She also runs a YouTube channel, Neeru Pahadi in Canada, which is devoted to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. Through this platform, she connects the diaspora to their roots and inspires future generations to embrace their traditions.

UCAC is proud to introduce Shaill Bahuguna, a versatile singer, songwriter, and long-standing member of our community. With a strong foundation in Hindustani classical music, Shaill Bahuguna has performed at numerous festivals and galas across the Greater Toronto Area, captivating audiences with her multilingual repertoire in Hindi, English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Swahili, Marathi, Garhwali, and Tamil.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from McMaster University and has previously served in the Investment Funds department at the Ontario Securities Commission. Today, Shaill Bahuguna leads multiple entrepreneurial ventures, including Brownbeezhive & Co. and Chakla Baylan Catering, while also supporting her daughter Kavya’s Lash Tech business, Fae Flutterz Studios.

Known for her organized, clean, and straightforward approach, Shaill Bahuguna brings these values to her contributions within UCAC. Having grown up in this community since her teenage years, she remains deeply connected and grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside her family.
